Oh Yummy! These cookies have such wonderful texture and flavor! They were one of Jason’s favorites as a child and I got this recipe from his mom’s book. I’ve also experimented with them. I’ve added cinnamon chips and toffee bits to them. The cinnamon chips were a for sure winner.
Cream together –
½ cup margarine ½ cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
Add – 2 eggs 1 teas. vanilla
Then add in - 2 cups flour
1 cup Flour 1 teas. Baking powder
1 teas. Baking soda 1 cup oatmeal
1 cup coconut 2 cups cornflakes
(If adding in any kind of chips, even chocolate chips are good here, then only put in one cup of the cornflakes.)

I love this new blog!!! I am so excited to try so many new things! Esp the banana slush.Maybe I will make it for Jimmer's b-day this weekend? I saw this recipe for scotch cookies and was very excited until I realized there is no scotch in it.....it has been one of those days.
Love you!
HAHA!! You should just add some scotch! Or have a nice scotch with the cookies! That would probably work together....
